These terms govern your use of Second, the AI note-taking app for macOS. By downloading, accessing, or using Second, you agree to these terms.

The product

Second is a macOS app with a companion website used for account authentication and app access. Product packaging and commercial terms may evolve over time and will be reflected in the app or website at the point of purchase.

AI-generated content

• AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Review AI output before relying on it for important decisions.
• You are responsible for the notes and content you create, save, or share using Second.
• When you choose to use a third-party AI provider, that provider's terms apply to that interaction.

Your data

Second is designed so your notes and working content remain on your Mac. We do not operate a product service that stores your notes, transcripts, or recordings as part of the normal app flow.

Email and product communication

By creating an account or starting the checkout flow, you agree that we may send service-related and product lifecycle emails connected to your use of Second, including welcome emails, setup reminders, billing-related notices, and replies to support or feedback requests.

Marketing or campaign communication, if any, remains subject to applicable law and the communication controls available to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Second to capture, process, or store content that you do not have the right to record, or in any way that violates applicable laws, including privacy and consent laws.

You are solely responsible for informing meeting participants that a meeting is being recorded and for obtaining any consent required by applicable law. Kodebusters Technologies OÜ is not responsible or liable for your failure to provide notice, obtain consent, or otherwise comply with recording, privacy, or consent laws.

Availability and updates

We aim to keep Second reliable and to ship regular improvements, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every macOS update or third-party provider change.

Second requires macOS, and minimum system requirements may change over time.

Limitation of liability

Second is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kodebusters Technologies OÜ is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or reliance on AI-generated content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
